Graham provides specialist consulting and advanced training to the Civil Industry via his own company, Detect Services Ltd, which he founded in 1992, after being Senior Records Officer at New Plymouth Energy from 1981-1992.
With an extensive background and experience in the New Zealand civil industry, his expertise in sub-surface infrastructure location, management, excavation, and pioneering of digital record keeping of ‘as-built’ sub-surface infrastructure projects has earned him significant respect from peers and clients alike throughout the country.
Working alongside LORD Civil in the early 2000 period, Graham was a pioneer in the evolution, verification of concept, and implementation in New Zealand of the later patented IP concepts of LORD Civil known as a Quality-of-Outcome-based Approach to Sub-Surface Utility Location and Excavation.
Being unrivalled in his Industry experience, Graham was very closely associated with the preparation and running of associated training and competency assessment courses for this concept and has been a proponent of the Art over the ensuing years, both in New Zealand and Australia.
Graham provides regular consulting services to major utility owners in the management, location, mapping, and data-recording of sub-surface utility infrastructure and concrete structure integrity.
